Results of The CCGT Challenge Event 2 at Altorreal Golf

Monday the 25th February saw the 2nd Event of the Costa Calida Golf Challenge take place at Altorreal Golf, Murcia.

55 players teed off on a sunny but slightly chilly day, our thanks go to Lola and the team at Altorreal Golf for their organisation and support on the day to ensure everything ran according to plan.

The venue and course was very impressive with the greens in excellent condition and the ball running smoothly, being located in the hills just above the City of Murcia we were treated to some panoramic views and equally impressive was overall winner James Woodham coming out on top with 39 points - a big well done to you!

Event 3 of the Costa Calida Golf Challenge takes place on Monday 25th March at the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort.

The price is 45 Euros Per Person Walking or for just an extra 5 euros  at 50 Euros per person you can share a buggy.

Nine golfers sink simultaneous putts in the same hole

Reading today's golfing news from around the world we were shocked, but equally as impressed to see a story featured in the early hours of this morning in the Daily Mail.

Not one, but nine - yes NINE golfers took turns to simultaneously putt and sink the golf ball into the same hole - each one with a 100% success rate!

As every golfer knows, it takes nerves of steel and a lot of time and practice to master the art of putting, for nine golfers one after the other to be able to achieve this incredible feat is nothing short of a wonderful and unique event.

Even more surprising is that the golfers are students at the Campbell University in the United States, all seniors on the PGA Golf Management program that the university runs - most professionals, if any could not do this right on command every time, never mind one after the other until all 9 golfers had sunk the ball.

Event 2 of the Costa Calida Golf Challenge 2013 is only 19 days away and places are already being booked up fast following on from the success of this year's opening event at Las Colinas Golf.

All players are more than welcome to join the CCGT team for what promises to be a great day of golf taking place at Altorreal Golf Course.

Details of the event are as follows;

• Monday 25th February, 09:00 meet up time with a 09:30 tee off time.
• Split Tee offs from Tee 1 and Tee 10
• Only 33 Euros per person including a buggy
